Same Concept, New Style

(Paul & Joe, Oscar de la Renta, Diesel, and Project Runway designer)
The little black dress is a staple in fashionista's closets around the world. Coco Chanel told us it was the must-have decades ago, and in 2010, Diesel, Oscar de la Renta, and Paul & Joe are telling us it's still in style. However, these dresses aren't your grandmother's little black dresses. These dresses have pizazz! embellishment! and one even comes with a belt! Today we're showing you 4 of our favorite little black dresses, inspired by the Fall 2010 runways, now available at Hemline.

First up we have a sweet, simple little number from Aaron Ashe. The go-to designer for minimalism, this designer knows how to keep it clean... and interesting. The scalloped layer extends from the back to the front resulting in an uncomplicated yet appealing detail. The cinched, elastic waist gives this dress extra shape and makes it easy to fit lots of different body types.

Next we have the super-girly, frills and bows dress from a somewhat unexpected source... Nicole Miller! Miller, known for ruched, body-hugging cocktail dresses, surprised us all with this flouncy, fun baby doll cut. The higher waist, detailing on the bodice and full skirt make the dress perfect for a plethora of occasions. Dress it up with heels and sophisticated jewelry for a cocktail party, or pair with a long cardigan and motorcycle boats for an edgier, rock star kinda night!

Third, we have the dress you could take over the world in and it comes from the designer who's pretty much already managed to do so... Yoana Baraschi. This sleek little number could easily move from the office to after hours by simply removing your blazer. Perfect for a women who's in control, in demand, and ready to show off her rockin' figure! BONUS! Comes with a belt you know you'll detach and start wearing with everything else because it's the perfect little black belt!

And last we have another body-lovin' number from Yoana Baraschi, but this time it's all about TEXTURE! The little black flowers on this dress take it from being over-the-top tight and tantalizing and bring it down to a level that allows you to show off your shape but maintain a sweetness you thought disappeared long ago. Sweet and sensual, this dress works easily during the months when you don't usually think about wearing black.
