Here at Hemline, we embrace every part of fashion, from the way you wear your hair to the color on your toes. Today we want to share some of our favorite beauty products that we use head to toe - and everywhere in between.
Let's start at the top, shall we?
With Summer quickly approaching full swing, who wants to mess with their hair? This beach texture spray by Biosilk gives you perfect beach waves without leaving your bathroom. Just spray it on damp hair, scrunch, and let air dry. Perfectly unperfect.
Now let's move to the face. Summer time usually brings on darker shades of skin, and if you're anything like us, that dark skin comes and goes with the amount of time you have off to bask in the sun. So committing to a foundation can be hard. We like using a tinted moisturizer instead. It gives just the right amount of coverage for the hot summer days, plus it moisturizes at the same time. And this particular one is combined with an SPF 20. Just use it in place of your regular moisturizer, skip the foundation, and voila! Your summer complexion is set!
Next up on the face favorites, we have a product that is perfect for your eye lids this summer. We love the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer all year long - but this one we love as an eyeshadow all in itself! Put a little dab on your finger and swipe it on your lids. You get a perfect, subtle shimmer that will not budge. We promise!
Next up are cheeks. Summer time is the perfect time to add some pretty, sheer or shimmery color to your cheeks. The Multiple - Orgasm cheek stick by NARS gives you both. A sheer, shimmery color that goes with your complexion all year long.
Now let's talk about lashes. Plan on being poolside this summer? We are! And we don't want to worry about mascara running down our faces! We love this clear mascara by Maybelline. It gives subtle definition to your lashes, or you can use it on your eyebrows to keep them in check all day. Feel like your lashes aren't long enough to go without traditional mascara? We swear by Fusion Beauty's Stimulash Fusion. In 12 weeks, the length of our lashes grew significantly. We get asked daily if we are wearing fake lashes.
Now we want to talk about your entire body. We love glowing, soft skin in the summer - and that can be a hard thing to achieve! To start your skin in the right direction, we like to use a scrub. And with all the different scrubs available, we went through a few of them! Believe it or not, we like the least expensive one the best! St. Ives Invigorating Scrub left our skin feeling soft and renewed. And the subtle smell of apricot was a definite bonus!
After you scrub away the dead skin cells, it's time to add a tan. And we're talking the safe kind, in a bottle. We found one that actually works, and without turning you orange, or making you stink all day! Victoria's Secret Beach Sexy line makes a self tanner that is adjustable to the color you desire. If you're light skinned, click the dial to the lighter side. Want to go darker? Move that baby down the line! The result? A beautiful, natural looking, non stinking tan. Love!
Our final beauty fav is an all over body shimmer. Tarina Tarantino's Sparklicity Shimmer Dust can be sprayed from head to toe - literally. We put it in our hair too! After you've scrubbed and self tanned yourself, spray a little of this on on your newly bronzed skin, and shimmer in the sunlight. It's a "pure refraction glitter", it's not mixed with any sort of liquid. When sprayed, you get a dry dust of shimmer. There are two shades, a sheer pinkish champagne and a pure gold. We tried both - and loved them equally!
We had so much fun picking our favorite products. Most of them can be found at Sephora (our other obsession), and a few of them at drug stores. Now go out there and try them! You will not be disappointed!
